Correlation of salivary glucose level with blood glucose level in diabetes mellitus: a cross sectional study

Background: There is alarming rise in number of people with diabetes mellitus over these years. Type 2 the fifth most common condition and sixth leading cause mortality amongst elderly. Finding a relationship between blood glucose level its concentration other body fluids such as saliva can help developing an on invasive method for sugar assessment replacing venous sampling. Methods: This cross sectional included 200 randomly selected subjects, which 100 were known constituted test group normal healthy age- sex-matched individuals controls.
